"a portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013."

last saturday our little family was invited to a private bbq party. luckily but anxiously at the same time, there was a private sandy beach nearby the venue tempting little kids to jump in and play. we weren't prepared at all for the unexpected play set, and to be frank, i guess it was only me who was a bit concerned about letting glenn play in the wet coarse sand! glenn couldn't stop himself running to the beach. he didn't mind the sand got everywhere on his body or the water soaked into his clothes {of course he didn't! what am i saying?}. he was full of pure joy while playing in the sand. ;)

in the fall

last weekend. teamed up with a bunch of good people, David, Glenn and i went to Weed Orchard to make a tradition that is somewhat new to us. we had so much fun together and most importantly ate lots and lots of delicious food. btw, if you were with us on that day, it would be quite hilarious to see how we packed a stroller, a car seat, a diaper bag, a lunch box, and three of us in such a small car. {we booked a mini cooper mistakenly!}

life gets adventurous

are you an indoor person or an outdoor person? my husband and i used to be more of indoor persons. on weekends we spent the day at home wearing pjs all day(!), watching tv shows, and heavily relying on foods delivered to our doorstep. we were perfectly ok with that 'cause we were college students tired of school assignments, tests and quizzes. even after the baby was born, we didn't think it was necessary to change our life patterns. one day {i remember it was springtime, you know, the sun shining and flowers blooming}, we realized that Glenn rarely had been outside for three weeks. what? three weeks?! omg. our little baby was stuck in the apartment, didn't get fresh air, and most importantly didn't have any chances to enjoy the beautiful weather at all. poor baby. we were ashamed of being such terrible parents. since then we have been trying all our best to change ourselves to be more active and adventuruous. i mean, changing life patterns is not that easy but what can't we do for our baby? right?

last weekend, we went to the brooklyn flea market {in fort green}. we walked a lot, ate great foods {oh my gosh, so delicious!}, enjoyed looking at people hunting for gems together. can you guess how much Glenn liked the adventure? i will show you one of my baby boy's pictures taken on that day. :)

{i love you, Glenn!}
